2023 Feature Contest is Open for Submissions

Submissions for our 2023 Feature Retreat & Fellowship Contest are officially open, and we’re offering an early bird submission fee of $50 until February 6th.

2023 FEATURE RETREAT LOGISTICS

The 2023 Feature Retreat will be held on October 7 – 10, 2023 in the beautiful mountains of Idyllwild, California. Attendees receive three 90-minute one-on-one sessions with CineStory mentors. During these sessions, attendees can discuss anything from the script(s) they submitted for feedback to jump-starting their writing careers.

When not meeting in one-on-one sessions, attendees participate in “informal rooms,” which are interactive sessions run by two to three mentors. Informal rooms cover topics ranging from pitching like a pro to the state of filmmaking in the digital age. In addition, attendees and mentors gather for meals, drinks, film screenings, and other special events.

WHAT YOU COULD WIN

To attend the Feature Retreat, writers must submit an original screenplay to our Feature Retreat & Fellowship Contest. Semifinalists and finalists will be invited to attend the retreat. Any remaining spots will be offered to quarterfinalists.

One lucky writer will be chosen as the 2023 Feature Fellow. This person will receive a $10,000 cash prize, free tuition and housing for the retreat, and a 12-month mentorship with 2 Hollywood professionals, and more.
