This Monday, May 29th is the last chance to enter our 2023 Feature Retreat & Fellowship Contest!

If you are considering submitting to the contest, please note that CineStory is an educational organization. Our contests and fellowships do not involve employment by or development with WGA struck companies. We wholeheartedly support the WGA strike and, while it is ongoing, will not use judges or mentors who are employed by or actively engaged in developing projects with WGA struck companies.

QUALIFY TO ATTEND THE RETREAT

Entering the contest is the only way to get the chance to attend CineStory’s feature retreat on October 7th – 10th in idyllic Idyllwild, California. Retreat attendees receive three 90-minute one-on-one sessions with CineStory mentors, participate in “informal rooms,” socialize with other attendees and mentors, and attend other special events.

QUALIFY TO WIN THE FELLOWSHIP

All entrants are also considered for our Grand Prize Fellowship, which includes a $10,000 cash prize, free tuition and housing at the retreat, and a one year mentorship with two CineStory mentors to help elevate the Fellow’s writing career to the next level.

Scholarships also are now available to qualifying entrants! Please click here to learn more about our scholarships for the 2023 Feature Retreat.

MEET OUR MENTORS

CineStory mentors are committed industry professionals who work with retreat writers to elevate their craft and enhance their projects’ marketability. CineStory mentors include screenwriters, producers, agents, managers, and executives who have shepherded to fruition such movies as CAPTAIN MARVEL, INSIDE OUT, LEGALLY BLONDE, FROZEN, THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB, FINDING NEVERLAND, WHAT WOMEN WANT, FACE OFF, and many more. BECOME ONE OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES

CineStory winners and alumni, who often go on to become CineStory mentors, have an impressive track record of both box office and creative success. They have worked in every entertainment market, from feature screenwriting–dramatic and animated, blockbusters and indie films–to every form of TV writing–network, streaming, premium channels–to webseries writing.
