MEET OUR 2025 2ND & 3RD PLACE FEATURE CONTEST PRIZEWINNERS

We’re thrilled to introduce our second and third place winners of the 2025 Feature Fellowship competition. Noah Miller won second place for his screenplay HALIFAX, and Kevin Caruso won third place for his screenplay FROM RUSSIA WITH METAL. Congratulations to them both!

Noah Miller – Second Place Winner

In Noah Miller’s prizewinning script HALIFAX, three estranged siblings take a turbulent road trip from New York to Halifax to pick up their troubled brother’s girlfriend – that is, if she actually exists.

As our second place winner, Noah receives $1,500.

Noah Miller is a New York based screenwriter, stand up comedian, and military veteran originally from Iowa. He’s an alumnus of the Writers Guild Foundation’s Veterans Writing Project as well as the New York Film Academy’s screenwriting conservatory. He writes in the comedy genre for both film and television, which has earned him recognition on multiple scripts including his original comedy pilot, THE FOUND, becoming a finalist at the Austin Film Festival. He also co-wrote the short film, HAPPY SHAMEVERSARY, which won best film amongst international competition at the 24-hour Film Race.

In addition to writing, Noah performs stand up comedy at clubs and festivals across the country and teaches stand up to veterans through the Armed Services Arts Partnership. He has shared the stage with Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan and opens for Tammy Pescatelli on the road. He also writes and performs sketch comedy and his content has reached tens of millions of viewers on social media.

Prior to entering his entertainment career in 2022, Noah was a member of the Coast Guard for eleven years where he was a search and rescue helicopter pilot, flying in both Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Outside of comedy, Noah loves his wife, his dog, the outdoors, and seeing the world through van-camping.

Kevin Caruso – Third Place Winner

In Kevin Caruso’s prizewinning script FROM RUSSIA WITH METAL, the CIA enlists the aid of one of their case officers, who moonlights as a drummer in a metal cover band, and a drug-addled music manager to pull off a heavy metal music festival inside glasnost Moscow as a rouse to exfiltrate a key asset to the West.

As our third place winner, Kevin receives $1,000.

Kevin Caruso’s screenplay THE RUT won the 2007 CineStory Screenwriting Competition. Previously, Kevin co-wrote the film I TRIED for CodeBlack Entertainment, featuring hip-hop luminaries BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY. The DVD went platinum, selling over 250 thousand units. His screenplay EXPOSURES OF WAR received the “rare and prestigious” perfect score and the highest monetary award ever from the New Jersey Council of the Arts. In 2015, his screenplay THE SHOOK ONES earned him another grant through New Jersey. In 2010 his SOUTHLAND spec was the first place winner in the Scriptapalooza TV Competition. Kevin is a graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, and the former publicist for HIGH TIMES Magazine.

Kevin is managed by Jeff Portnoy of Bellevue Entertainment and represented by lawyer Marios Rush.
