The TV Contest’s Late Deadline is Almost Here
The late deadline for our 2020 TV Retreat & Fellowship Contest is right around the corner on Monday, September 9th. Take advantage of our late submission price of $70 by submitting by the 9th, and be sure to explore the contest’s new divisions.
Why Submit?
CineStory selects 25 emerging screenwriters through its annual TV competition for a 4-day intensive retreat held in 2020 on March 21st – March 24th. All retreat attendees will have the opportunity to meet with 3 industry professionals and receive personalized feedback on their projects, as well as first-hand advice on how to navigate a career in the entertainment industry. In addition, attendees participate in a mock Drama and a mock Comedy writers’ room so they can experience what it is like inside an actual TV writers’ room.
The TV Fellowship
One exceptional writer also will be selected as the CineStory Fellow and will receive a prize valued at $5,000 USD that includes free tuition and lodging to the TV Retreat, a $1,000 cash prize, and a 12-month mentorship from 2 industry mentors to help enhance the Fellow’s career path.
CineStory TV Alum Success Stories
CineStory TV alumni have gone on to direct or write for TV shows such as the EXPANSE, PRIVATE PRACTICE, SUPERNATURAL and GRAY’S ANATOMY. Our 2018 TV Fellow, Naomi Iwamoto, is currently a staff writer on the TV series HAPPY TOGETHER.
The Only Way to Qualify is To Enter!
The only way to qualify to attend a retreat and be in the running for the TV Fellowship is to submit to our contest. So submit today – we want to read your work!
