2021 Feature Contest is Open for Submissions

We’re officially accepting submissions for our 2021 Feature Retreat & Fellowship Competition, and we’re offering an early bird submission rate of $50 that’s good until January 18th!

WHAT YOU COULD WIN

Entering the contest is the only way to be in the running to attend our feature retreat. Winners, finalists, and semifinalists are invited to attend the retreat for an additional fee. Any remaining spots are offered to quarterfinalists.

This year’s retreat takes place October 16th – 19th in Idyllwild, CA.* Attendees receive three 90-minute one-on-one sessions with CineStory mentors. During these sessions, attendees can discuss anything from the script(s) they submitted for feedback to jump-starting their writing careers.

When not meeting in one-on-one sessions, attendees participate in “informal rooms,” which are interactive sessions run by two to three mentors. Informal rooms cover topics ranging from pitching like a pro to the state of filmmaking in the digital age. In addition, attendees and mentors gather for meals, drinks, film screenings, and other special events.

*Please note that if, as we near the date of this year’s retreat, pandemic or pandemic-related conditions make in-person events unsafe, the retreat will be held online.
