Mark Evans was born into an uber-fundamentalist sect of Scientology and sovereign-citizen household, and as a result raised in an extremely isolated environment. Because of that (along with being taken out of school in the first grade), he’s been working full time since the age of thirteen and has been self taught in computer science, IT, even electrical engineering. But movies were an escape, or better, a sanctuary from the over-bearing indoctrination attempting to “mold” him into an “ethical” person.

Mark always had an interest in storytelling and created stories and characters from a young age, dropped it for “real life,” took an interest in screenwriting, dropped it for “work and study.”

During COVID and after 30+ years, he escaped and picked writing back up and found CineStory. He submitted a pilot to the TV contest in 2021 and attended the retreat. That is where he considers his life actually started.

Today, Mark is the lead IT on the West Coast for the fifth largest pharmacy in the U.S. and, more importantly, a member of CineStory, an organization that represents everything he’s been wanting in life.
