Stir crazy from sheltering at home? Do something that will make you feel hopeful about the future: submit to our 2020 Feature Retreat & Fellowship Contest before the extended late deadline on April 19th!

QUALIFY TO ATTEND THE RETREAT

Entering the contest is the only way to get the chance to attend CineStory’s feature retreat on October 17th – 20th in idyllic Idyllwild, California. Retreat attendees receive three 90-minute one-on-one sessions with CineStory mentors, participate in “informal rooms,” socialize with other attendees and mentors, and attend other special events.

QUALIFY TO WIN THE FELLOWSHIP

All entrants are also considered for our Grand Prize Fellowship, which includes free tuition and housing at the retreat, a $10,000 cash prize, and a one year mentorship with two CineStory mentors intent on helping the Fellow elevate his or her writing career to the next level.

MEET OUR MENTORS

CineStory mentors are committed industry professionals who work with retreat writers to elevate their craft and enhance their projects’ marketability. CineStory mentors include screenwriters, producers, agents, managers, and executives who have shepherded to fruition such movies as LEGALLY BLONDE, FROZEN, THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB, FINDING NEVERLAND, WHAT WOMEN WANT, FACE OFF, and many more. BECOME ONE OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES

Matt Fantaci, CineStory’s 2015 Feature Fellow shares, “The retreat was a writers’ oasis where we discussed screenwriting, filmmaking, navigating the murky depths of Hollywood meetings and just enjoyed being around like-minded people who are all in pursuit of the same thing: good stories.” Says Angelina Karpovich, CineStory’s 2017 Feature Fellow, “There are truly no words left to express how valuable the CineStory Retreat has been to my screenwriting. No words. NONE.”

CineStory winners and alumni, who often go on to become CineStory mentors, have an impressive track record of both box office and creative success. They have worked in every entertainment market, from feature screenwriting–dramatic and animated, blockbusters and indie films–to every form of TV writing–network, streaming, premium channels–to webseries writing.
