20 WRITERS, 12 MENTORS, 3 DAYS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

There are hundreds of screenwriting contests but only CineStory offers all
semi-finalists and finalists a chance to attend its prestigious writer’s
retreat in the mountains of Idyllwild, California. Each attendee gets four
one-on-one mentor meetings, as well as participating in numerous panels and
group discussions on topics such as: pitching, finding representation, new
media markets and story concepts that work.

In addition, the winner is awarded $2000 and a year-long mentorship with an
industry pro.

CineStory mentors are all working screenwriters, managers, agents and
producers. Past competition winners include Academy Award nominated Mark
Fergus & Hawk Ostby (‘Children of Men’) and writer/director Greg Marcks
(‘11:14’ starring Hilary Swank and Ben Foster).
