The 2010 CSA Winners Announced!

After a lively judges’ dinner during which each finalist script was considered, we are proud to announce the winners of the 2010 CineStory Screenwriting Awards:

GRAND PRIZE: AMERICAN CHILD, April Rouveyrol, Glendale CA
SECOND PRIZE: AMERICAN SUBLIME, Chris Young, Los Angeles CA
THIRD PRIZE: RASHAE LIKES ME (SOMEHOW), Molly Brown Pennington, Pittsburgh PA

A big congratulations to all three. As the 2010 Grand Prize winner April is now the newest CineStory Fellow. In addition to over $7000 in cash and other prizes, she will benefit from an intensive 12-month mentorship program.

Thanks again to our judges and to all those who entered the 2010 contest.

Click here to see the full list. Each of these writers is now invited to the 2010 Retreat, being held in Idyllwild September 25th-28th.

Finalists will be notified early July and the winners, including the 2010 CineStory Fellow, will be announced by July 25th.

Congratulations to all who made it this far and our thanks to each writer who entered. It was a privilege reviewing so much great material.

2010 Retreat Dates Announced!

This year’s fall retreat will be held from September 25th to September 28th in the glorious mountain town of Idyllwild, California. For four days, twenty one aspiring screenwriters will meet and mingle with over a dozen Hollywood professionals for one-on-one mentoring sessions as well as over 20hrs of small group sessions, filmmaker presented screenings, meals and other events.

Only a few days left to take advantage of low entry fees for the CineStory Screenwriting Awards. The top 16 writers of each year’s CSA competition are invited to the Fall Writers’ Retreat in Idyllwild where they get 4 days of mentorship from working industry pros.
